Dave Miller and trolley
Quotes

The Requirement: A new easy-access resuscitation trolley was critical for fast delivery of resuscitation equipment.

The Solution: Artemis Medical worked closely with Dave Miller (left) the Resuscitation Officer to design a custom-built trolley that would meet all of the Hospital's requirements.

The main priority was to design a small footprint trolley which would take up as little floor space as possible.Another important consideration was to include a back-bar for easy access to oxygen and suction.

Trolley 1

Left: With a large, practical work surface (big enough to take any defibrillator), the 'Cumberland' trolley features four push-through drawers that can be accessed from either side.

The bottom drawer is extra deep - enough to take a standard drug box.

Plastic, single-use padlocks prevent casual tampering, and show when the drawers have been opened.

Trolley 2

Left: The shallow footprint means that the trolley can be placed against any wall without blocking corridor space.

Even the sharps bin and the oxygen cylinder do not affect the overall depth, since the oxygen cylinder has been cut into the main body of the trolley and does not protrude backwards.

With four heavy-duty castors (two of them lockable) the trolley is easy to push in an emergency.
